Diesen Freitag eröffnet Roa seine Einzelausstellung „Decomposition“ in der Wiener INOPERAbLE Gallery. Nach der ersten Wand in der Burggasse vor einigen Tagen, kommen hier schon einmal ein paar Bilder. Dank nach Wien!
Wer gerade in Wien ist sollte die Ausstellung auf keinen Fall verpassen!
Internationally renowned artist ROA will have his first ever solo show in Austria. With help from the MQ we were happy to host the artist in Vienna over the last month. We have spent the last weeks searching through flea markets, second hand shops, garbage dumpsters, and the taxidermist studio (where we scored a giraffe and hippo skull!). The final days are flying by and the opening is already this Friday! I visited the artist today to see what the works look like so far and it is guaranteed to impress! ROA has become infamous in the gallery for his interactive works. However this time around he decided to focus abit more on drawn pieces. He has accumulated an abundance of old paper from the local bookshops here and from a visit to an abandoned veterinarian school. However, dont worry he will also be completing some of his astounding interactive works to wow the Vienna scene. ROAs work usually focuses on local animal life, however due to his finds at the local taxidermist the species will vary abit more this time around, expect rabbits, giraffes, rats, Hippos, turtles, bird species and more!
