Im Juni findet die Silence is a lie – Urban Art Ausstellung im alten SEZ in Berlin statt. Organisiert wird die Ausstellung / Festival u.a. von Alaniz und Alesa Mustar. Bis zum 2.6.2012 läuft der Call for Artists. Alle Infos zum Festival und der Bewerbung gibt es unten.

„Silence is a lie“ is an Urban Art Exhibition placed in Berlin and it will be open from the 26/06/2012 for three months.
This exhibition is about an Urban Art movement that rethinks and questions actual parameters of art without even intending to do so. A movement that breaks the silence imposed by the comformance of the majority, offering its truth about reality through the art.
This exhibition is open to any artist who wants to tell his or her truth.
Just as no words are needed to break silence, there is no need to be obvious when communicating something.
Thus, we do not ask especially for works with political content or focus on social issues but give every artist the opportunity to express his or her vision of the world in his own style or the way he/she likes best.“
Finally, the exhibition is going to be a good reflection of how urban artists see the present and how they share that vision with the world.
The intention is to create a bridge of dialogue and communication between different views and ways of expressions, not a contest or a competition.
However, we are obliged to select a limited number of exhibition participants due to space limitation.
The exhibition is going to take place in the SEZ, a historic building of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) that was established in the 80s which a part is now transformed into a exhibition space. The place has more than 2000 square metres of free space for exhibition and is going to be open every weekend for three months, including workshops, music and other activities.
This is the first step to create a new location for Urban Art in Berlin with the opportunity of a further existence!
Artists can participate in 4 different ways,
_ Wheatpaste (paper,carton, etc)
_ Canvas,
_Installations, performance
_Stickers!!!! ( you dont need to apply for stickers, send many as you want :D)
