Seit ein paar Tagen gibt es die DVD von TAKEN BY A VANDAL, 180 Minutes Raw & Uncut Graffiti in 3D. Die Dokumentation zeigt Graffiti aus der Sicht von 18 Graffiti Artists, gedreht mit Kopfkameras. Habe mir gerade einige Szenen der DVD angeschaut, auf jeden Fall sehr sehenswert wie ich finde – die Perspektive macht die Dokumentation dabei definitiv aus. Die DVD (inkl. 3D-Maske) kostet 19,90 Euro und kann hier bestellt/gekauft werden.
A 3D DVD version of “TAKEN BY A VANDAL” will be launched and available in stores at the beginning of 2012. Eighteen of the most recognized and respected German sprayers will be on this DVD which will demonstrate them doing Graffiti in live action. This DVD version will be converted into Anaglyphmodus in order to ensure use on standard television devices.
Not only is the subcultural scene itself addressed as a target group for this project, but moreover, a wider audience is attempting to be reached. The activists can take this new approach and can adapt it as a new tradition of a good documentation of their subculture. For the first time it will be possible for the general public to access and dive into a strange, but ubiquitous world. A look behind the scenes of this usually inaccessible scene makes the mystery graffiti accessible to all.
