Eine schöne Entdeckung
{ eine Bilderstrecke aus Bratislava }

Durch mein derzeitiges Leben in Wien, habe ich mehrfach die Gelegenheit gehabt mit der Bahn die kurze Reise nach Bratislava anzutreten.

40km vor Wien liegt die Hauptstadt der Slowakai.
Zwischen herausgeputzer Alstadt und japanischem Tagestourismus, kommt man schnell mit dem Bus in die hoch eindrucksvollen Plattenbausiedlungen auf der anderen Seite der Donau – der wirklichen pulsierenden und wohnraumgebenden Stadt. Nach anfänglichen Entscheidungsschwierigkeiten, ob man die Siedlung als abschreckend monoton und ’stadtplanerisch und gesellschaftlich hoch distutabel’ findet oder einfach nur überwältigend, entwickelt man schnell eine gewisse Liebe zu der Stadt und ihren Bewohnern. Die bauliche und farbliche Monotonie wird durch tausende Details an jedem Ort überspielt und macht die Siedlung zu einer Welt voller Entdeckungen. Vielleicht ein Grund, weshalb der Großteil der Menschen hier gerne lebt und der Traum nach dem Einfamilienhausglück noch lange nicht soweit ausgeprägt ist wie in Deutschland oder Österreich.
