Zum mittlerweile zweiten mal findet die internationale Blogging the City Conference statt und bringt Stadtblogger aus unterschiedlichen Ländern zusammen, um über ihre Arbeit und Gedanken hinter ihren Projekten zu berichten und über den Einfluss von neuen Medien auf die Stadt zu diskutieren.
Nachdem letztes Jahr Urbanophil als Initiator Gastgeber in Berlin war, ist diesmal Amsterdam an der Reihe. Gastgeber sind 2012 Jeroen Beekmans und Joop de Boereiner, die beiden Köpfe hinter einem meiner Liebslings-Blogs The Pop Up City.
Die Idee hinter der Konferenz ist in ganz kurz: „Blogging the City brings together Europe’s leading city, design and art bloggers, and will be a day full of inspiration for everyone interested in cities, urban development and new media.“
Ich freue und fühle mich geehrt auch dieses Jahr als einer der Speaker eingeladen zu sein und ein paar Sätze zu meiner Arbeit und den Gedanken hinter meinem Blog urbanshit zu sagen.
Mit dabei sind u.a. Régine Debatty von we-make-money-not-art / Stefan Höffken von Urbanophil / Martijn de Waal von The Mobile City / Antonia Märzhäuser von Freunde von Freunden / viele, viele mehr / und natürlich Jeroen Beekmans und Joop de Boer von The Pop Up City. Erfreulicher weise wird die gesamte Konferenz via live stream online übertragen (siehe oben).

Die Idee hinter der Konferenz in lang: „The Pop-Up City is happy to announce Blogging the City, a one-day festival in Amsterdam on 4 October, 2012, where a selection of Europe’s finest city bloggers share their ideas and inspiration live on stage. What are the latest developments and trends in the cityscape, and how do we envision the role of the blogger and online media in the city of the future?
Blogging The City is a traveling event. The first Blogging the City festival took place in Berlin in 2011, and brought together a selection of European bloggers to discuss urbanism in the online world to a real-life audience. Now it’s Amsterdam’s turn.
The Web offers great amounts of inspiring knowledge about the latest trends and developments in urban culture, architecture and city making. Bloggers serve as curators and cool hunters by applying their swift, conspicuous and innovative styles to the documentation of these developments. Our goal is to bring those remarkable and international insights to Amsterdam.
Blogging the City is an event for everyone who wants to learn about what happens in urbanism over the next years!
