Video über die Arbeit des in Berlin lebenden Künstlers und Adbusters Vermibus.
„This interesting video takes a look at the process of Berlin-based street artist Vermibus. After cruising around the streets of Berlin collecting advertisements, be brings them back to his studio and with a paintbrush and thinner has his way with them to painterly and at times grotesque results. These altered ads are then placed back into their original locations. Looking through Vermibus’ work on his website, all of the advertisements feature pictures of women, however some of the resulting images bare a similar beautiful painterly touch as an Elizabeth Peyton painting, whereas others are obliterated and almost unrecognizable, more like a de Kooning. Take a look into the artist’s studio in the video above“.
